2011 AGDF Annual Specialty Show

The Association of Great Dane Fanciers will again be holding back to back specialties in conjunction with the Oxford County Kennel & Obedience Club’s all breed show at the beautiful & spacious Southside Park in Woodstock, Ontario, Canada.   This venue has been very well received by past exhibitors and we look forward to continuing to offer our specialties at this location. 

The 2011 shows will be on Saturday, July 9th and Sunday July 10th.

The 3-day Oxford County show, as most of our members know, is the largest outdoor show in eastern Canada, and one of the best-run shows anywhere. It is held in a middle of an attractive city park, and offers extensive RV parking close to the show rings. Immediately following, on the same site, is the 2-day Woodstock Kennel Club show.

For Great Dane exhibitors, the  AGDF specialties will thus offer seven conformation shows on the same site within a 5-day period, and 10 obedience shows. As well, Oxford Country is part of a 14-day southern Ontario circuit. Really avid exhibitors can show their dogs at the Sarnia and Bluewater shows immediately before Oxford County , approximately 100 km to the west.

There is ample RV parking on the showgrounds with electrical available.  For those who prefer hotels, the club is reserving a block of rooms at a nearby Quality Inn, and will be holding its annual awards dinner and auction there.

We will also be offering specialty obedience both days; the specialty obedience ring will be adjacent to the specialty conformation ring.  There will be a booster on July 8th with the OCKOC, and the AGDF is holding an all breed fun match on Friday, July 8th after BIS.   

We will also be hosting a BBQ & Auction at the show site at the Boathouse on Saturday evening, July 9th at a cost of $10 per person.  For further show information contact Karin Piercey at aristodanes@sympatico.ca or check the AGDF website at www.agdf.net.
